I have tried to watch this movie on four different occasions, never getting past the 40 minute mark without being so frustrated with its apparent identity crisis.

PS I noticed that you refer to Godard as “Godot,” was this a Freudian slip?

Any chance you would review a few (of short stories or a fulllength novel of various tribal roles in the Civil War? I have edited these for an inmate who is a fine black and white artist and excellent writer. Works reflect 10 years of writing. I could send hard copy or CD of novel chapters.

Captain haddocks drunkenness ends soon enough with his vow of soberity in I’m sure what will be the next movie. while Haddock always continues to crave alcohol he remains sober most of time after this.
also, I started reading tintin when I was around the age of 5 after I found one of the books sitting in a bookshelf at Karen and Bill Zyps house. by the time I was twelve there were only 3 that I hadn’t read

The movie that followed this one was “Son of Frankenstein,” not “Ghost of Frankenstein.”

Yeah, the elevator scene was weird. I’m still not entirely sure the rest of the film, after that, isn’t a dream sequence.

I agree the character shares some similarities to “Lars”. He is sedated, calm, and only speaks when necessary. The elevator scene changes all that and it’s like a switch was flipped and he could tell just by the reaction Irene gave him as the doors closed.

Really enjoyed the film.
