46. Bandits
Billy Bob Thornton and Bruce Willis may be the best odd couple since Matthau and Lemmon, and Cait Blanchett makes a wonderful third musketeer in “Bandits.” Add to that a whimsical, ingenious bank robbery plot, clever twist ending, and scenes filmed in my favorite state in the union, and what you get is a loose, endlessly funny, easily rewatchable comedy that has aged better than most comedies have any right to do.

one of the robbery scenes in this movie was shot in salinas, california (where amy and i grew up). knew some people who went down while they were shooting and got to be extras. our favorite breakfast place in the film!
