Movies new on DVD this week:
Valkyrie – Tom Cruise flick about the attempt to assassinate Hitler that can’t really decide if its protagonists are heroes or cowards.
My Bloody Valentine 3-D – Throwback to ’80’s slasher flicks (they were oh-so-much-simpler than the modern versions) that updates the genre it 3D technology. It’s possible to watch movies at home in 3D, but it’s really difficult and/or expensive. So have fun.
Fanboys – Takes us back to a time before the “Star Wars” prequels, when George Lucas fans would do almost anything to get a glimpse of his exciting new film. Ah, those were the days, weren’t they?
Outlander - An alien helps Vikings battle another alien who is terrorizing their villages. An idea so crazy, it just might work. Or not.
Paul Blart: Mall Cop - Before there was Seth Rogen’s psycho mall cop, there was decidedly un-psycho Paul Blart. Which is funnier? You decide.
