DVD Roundup

These movies were released on DVD this week, so look for them on the “New Releases” rack at Blockbuster or add them to your Netflix queue.

Changeling – Angelina Jolie is pretty sure that kid isn’t hers, no matter what the handsome police chief says. Clint Eastwood directs.

Body of Lies – DiCaprio’s the spy on the ground, Russel Crowe’s the handler eating his cheerios, Ridley Scott’s the guy behind the camera.

I Served the King of England – Czechoslovakian entry for best foreign film, about a guy whose naked ambition lands him in bed with the Nazis. Literally.

Midnight Meat Train – dark and gritty picture about a photographer encouraged to take dark and gritty pictures.

Moving Midway – dry and very politically correct documentary about physically moving a Southern plantation, and dealing with all it represents to the family that owns it.

Hounddog – Known in pre-production as “Dakota Fanning rape picture.”  Enough said.

Flash of Genius – Greg Kinnear invents windshield wipers, and then takes on the big corporation when he doesn’t get his payout.

Quarantine – Looks like the treatment “Blair Witch Project” gave to ghost stories and “Cloverfield” gave to city-destroying monsters comes to the zombie flick.   Lots of nausea cam, lots of white knuckles.
